The current Foundayo price range

Foundayo is the brand name for orforglipron, a once-daily tablet made by Eli Lilly. The MHRA authorised it on 10 August 2026, making the UK the first country in Europe to license the medicine. GLP Index tracked 32 UK registered pharmacies on 21 October 2026, and the table above is built from that export. Here is how the six strengths compared.

At 0.8 mg, the starting dose, the cheapest first order was £46.00 at New Health (GPhC 9011199) with code DAYO12. The median was £84.00 and the highest was £104.98. For a returning customer the cheapest month was £79.99 at Ashcroft Pharmacy (GPhC 9012896), and the median was £99.99.

The cheapest ongoing price was £139.95 at Novavie (GPhC 9012156), and the median was £167.00. Paying the median rather than the cheapest at 17.2 mg costs £27.05 more a month, or £324.60 over 12 months.

First order against ongoing

The cheapest first order ran from £46.00 at 0.8 mg to £114.00 at 17.2 mg, and the cheapest ongoing price from £79.99 to £139.95. At the median, a month at 0.8 mg cost £84.00 as a first order and £99.99 ongoing. As with every medicine on this site, the ongoing price is the one to budget on. The first order and ongoing price guide has the full working.

What is in the price

Each figure is for a four-week supply of tablets with the prescriber consultation and standard delivery. Tablets need no needles or sharps bin. Check for express delivery fees, whether a repeat consultation is charged when the dose changes, and any blood test requirement. The what the price includes guide lists every add-on seen on pharmacy sites.

Checking the pharmacy

Every pharmacy in Great Britain has to appear on the General Pharmaceutical Council register. Take the GPhC number from the pharmacy website and search the GPhC registers. The GPhC's online pharmacy guide says not to use any pharmacy that is not listed. Each pharmacy in the price table shows its GPhC number. GOV.UK advises against buying any GLP-1 medicine from a beauty salon or through social media, because the only way to be sure of a genuine product is a registered pharmacy with a valid prescription.

Licence and access rules

Foundayo is a prescription only medicine. The SmPC on emc licenses it for weight management in adults with an initial BMI of 30 or more, or 27 to under 30 with at least one weight-related comorbidity, listing prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, obstructive sleep apnoea and cardiovascular disease as examples. The MHRA press release gives the same thresholds and adds a separate licence for type 2 diabetes.

The SmPC schedule starts at 0.8 mg once daily for at least 30 days, then 2.5 mg, then 5.5 mg, each held for at least 30 days before any increase. After that the dose may go to 9 mg, 14.5 mg or 17.2 mg based on response and tolerability, with 17.2 mg the maximum. If a dose is missed the SmPC says to resume as soon as possible and never take more than one tablet a day. Dose decisions belong to your prescriber, and this site gives no dose advice.

Not available on the NHS

Foundayo is not available on the NHS. The MHRA said so when it licensed orforglipron on 10 August 2026, and stated that NHS decisions will follow established processes including an evaluation by NICE. As of 22 October 2026 NICE has published no guidance on orforglipron. The only lawful supply is a private prescription from a registered pharmacy. Private health insurance is unlikely to cover Foundayo.

Subscription plans

The Dose Club does not advise 3, 6 or 12 month tie-in plans for Foundayo, because the prices are higher and most of the benefit sits with the pharmacy. See subscription against pay monthly for the cancellation rules.
